About
David Reid Malmborg II
Well without making this to much of an autobiography, I’ll try to help you out in better understanding why my brain works the way it does. While your here, also check out My Resume or contact me here if you need.
The Family Man
When it comes to the family I am rather traditional. I married my high school sweetheart, Anne, who I met in Orchestra when I was playing the cello. We started dating our senior year and after she graduated college we decided to get married. Now we have two beautiful kids, my girl Audrey, and my boy Emerson. I try my best to spend time playing with them and teaching the right from wrong, and how to beg mom to make us cookies. Family life is good for me, and I don’t think I would have it any other way.
The Learner
I really enjoy learning new things. I try to be as “cultured” as possible when it comes to arts, and science, and consumer electronics (I do get a little geeky when it comes to Apple, and Microsoft, but mainly Apple). I have two life goals, I know I am a little late in starting on them, but I have yet to give up. The first goal is learning to play the piano (really well, not just basic stuff), and the second is becoming a “renaissance” style marble sculptor. I enjoy learning new things, and trying to understand peoples points of view, and believe understanding history is an important way to do this.
The Optimist
This title is pretty fitting in my views on life. In my humblest of opinions, life overall will workout for the one who works hard at it. This also explains why my favorite types of books and movies are considered the “epic” good vs. evil, underdog stories. Braveheart, Starwars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Eragon. All of these share that that timeless theme, and ultimately I am a sucker for it. If it is done really well, I may even shed a tear over it. Braveheart gets me every time. FREEDOM!!!!
The Blog
In a nutshell I would say that this gets you a pretty good insight to me and my brain. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have a need. Other than this you can get to know me a little better with my blog. The purpose of the blog may be vague at first, but I really want to focus on business and aspects of business that I understand. Obviously I should not be considered an authoritative source for business info, and that is not what I want. If you think otherwise, God bless you, and look a little harder to find more informative info (because I know it is out there). Mostly what I want from this blog is for me to spend time in analyzing situations that I am familiar with and inso doing, I enhance my analytical thought processes by writing them down. My bigger goal, however, is to get people to comment and teach me a bit more so I can understand business situations a little better. Read my first post to get a better understanding of the purpose of this blog.
